This week we are putting the focus on all things wedding planning.
We know that a wedding doesn’t just happen overnight… there are so many different components that go into making your dream wedding a reality! Venue, tables, chairs, flowers, music, catering and accommodations… just to name a few.
A wedding planner can help you organize your thoughts and assist in making your vision come to life.
The Planning Process
During the planning process, your wedding planner will become your go-to. They are there to understand you, make suggestions and handle any and all things wedding so that you can enjoy the process!
Meeting with your wedding planner in advance should always be the first step. You want to ensure that the two of you are a good fit, as you will be spending quite a lot of time together in the next upcoming months leading up to your big day! Make sure to bring a vision board, some Pinterest pins or fabrics, materials and photos that help speak to your vision. You will want to talk colour scheme, location and theme as they will need some insight on what you are looking for.
The Many Roles of a Wedding Planner
As wedding planners, we are available to go to on site visits, meet with and book vendors and help you manage your guests, seating chart and appointments.
We can also help you with your vision, if you are someone who hasn’t quite been able to get to that stage yet (which is okay!) We are here to make suggestions and show you ideas that might help get your creative side moving!
Among other things, your wedding planner will also have connections within the industry. They will know photographers, florists and stylists that they can recommend for your wedding day. At Inspired Events, we are a part of a collective called Fifth & Co.
At Fifth & Co. you can book your wedding planner, photographer, florist, graphic designer and makeup artist at the same time! We all work together to make sure that your day is absolutely stunning – and goes as planned.
Day of Coordinator
Your wedding planner can also double as your day of coordinator during your wedding day!
We will be there to help and assist you from the dress rehearsal, to the moment you arrive to hair and makeup with your bridal party the next morning… mimosas in hand. If there is anything you should need during the moments before you walk down the aisle, your wedding planner will be there to make it happen. Making sure that you get there on time and stress free!
In-between checking in on you and your bridal party – your wedding planner will also be checking in on your groom and his groomsmen, the venue and your guests that are beginning to arrive.
When it is time for you to walk down the aisle, your wedding planner will be there to ensure that everything goes according to plan. They will be in contact with the officiant, both wedding parties, transportation (if required) and the reception venue.
Did You Think We Would Miss a Party?!
Your wedding planner will also make sure that your reception runs smoothly!
Ensuring that your guests arrive and find their seats, the dj or live band is set-up and ready to go and that catering is prepared for cocktail hour and dinner service. Of course, we make sure that the bar is prepared for your arrival too!
We will be there for your grand entrance, first dance, dinner service and ALL of the speeches. If you need anything during the reception, we will be there to get it done.
The day after your wedding – your wedding planner can also help assist in the take down of your venue and decor. In the midst of dancing the night away with your friends and family… you might have forgotten something at the venue. Your wedding planner will take care of that too! Along with your guest book and anything else you would like transported back to you.
Our main goal as wedding planners is to ensure that you get the most out of the planning process.
We want you to focus on enjoying – not stressing.
We truly believe in making your vision for your dream wedding come to life.
Seeing the two of you smiling and enjoying each other, the moment and your friends and family is what makes everything so worth it for us.
